Abstract：
The location and appearance characteristics of the grooving shrinkage defect at the root of small end of gray cast iron brake disc were analyzed.The defect was characterized by XRD and SEM.Combined with the cause analysis of defects,production status and work experience comparison,by changing the way of introducing the inner gate,the brake disc small end root groove shrinkage defects are effectively eliminated.
