Guide for authors

The only website for the Foundry Technology online editorial platform is http://www.zhuzaojishu.net. All processes including author submission, expert review, editorial processing, and manuscript inquiry are conducted through this system. Foundry Technology does not accept submissions via other methods.

To facilitate authors' submissions, the following explanations are provided regarding the online submission system:

1. When registering on the online editorial platform, authors must fill in authentic information to enable the editorial office to contact you for manuscript-related communication and mail sample issues.

2. After registration, the system will send a confirmation email to the mailbox provided during registration. Please keep this information securely, as it is the only way to query the manuscript processing status in the future.

3. To accelerate manuscript processing, please download the Manuscript Templates from the "Downloads" section on the official website homepage, and revise and complete the manuscript according to the requirements.

4. Download and fill in the Foundry Technology Copyright Transfer Agreement from the "Downloads" section on the official website homepage to complete the operation in item (10).

5. After logging into the system, click the "Submit Manuscript" button under "Manuscript Processing". Please read the instructions carefully, click "Agree" and continue to complete the submission process. Strictly follow the requirements next to the form and fill in the article information according to the listed items. To facilitate timely and effective manuscript processing, invited manuscripts should include the inviter’s information, and for special issue manuscripts, select "Yes" in the "Special Issue" section.

6. After filling in all information, upload the manuscript text and click "Confirm". A confirmation message for the submitted manuscript will pop up. Authors can click the "View" button under "Message Board" to leave messages for the editorial office, consult questions, and communicate with editors. Note: The message board function cannot be used when the manuscript is under external review.

7. The editorial office will process your manuscript as soon as possible after submission, and the status of the manuscript during review and editing will be updated in real time on the editorial platform for authors to check at any time.

8. For manuscripts that have entered the review process, if an author needs to withdraw the manuscript for personal reasons, they must contact the editorial office. Withdrawal is only permitted after editorial approval and payment of the expert review fee.

9. For manuscripts requiring revision, log in to "Author Submission & Inquiry", view the revision comments, and upload the revised manuscript (with changes marked in red font) and a revision explanation in the "Manuscripts Needing Revision" section.

10. Several steps in the manuscript processing workflow require author cooperation for publication; otherwise, normal publication may be affected.

o First, for manuscripts requiring self-check or revision by the author, the author must promptly revise and perfect the manuscript, upload the revised version (do not resubmit), and submit a revision explanation.

o Second, the author must review, confirm, and sign the typeset proof (PDF format) arranged by the editorial office. Meanwhile, the original Copyright Transfer Agreement signed by all authors must be returned to the editorial office as required.

11. The journal’s electronic micro-issue uses full-color typesetting, and the resolution of figures in papers must be 300 dpi.

12. Upon acceptance and publication, all authors are deemed to agree to grant the editorial office a worldwide, royalty-free license for the copyright of the article, including but not limited to reproduction rights, distribution rights, information network communication rights, translation rights, compilation rights, adaptation rights, sublicense rights, etc. The editorial office is authorized to permit third-party partners (e.g., China National Knowledge Infrastructure, CNKI) to use the article.

Note: During registration, authors must fill in all information completely and specify the invoice title and mailing address. In case of errors in the invoice title or loss of sample issues/invoices due to incorrect mailing addresses, the author shall bear the responsibility.
