Abstract：Three casting process schemes of a large diesel engine cylinder block were simulated and analyzed by ProCast casting numerical simulation software.Through the analysis and research on the filling speed,filling situation and sand temperature,it is concluded that the middle pouring gating system with inner runner at the maximum cross section of cylinder block is the best one among the three casting schemes.
