Abstract：The key points of cold core box core assembly molding technology for production of ductile iron castings are described. Processing parameters, microstructure, casting defects, productivity, casting yield and cost were compared between core assembly molding and normal sand molding methods. Results show that core assemble molding method is better than normal sand process for the current castings
