Abstract:
Due to their high specific strength, excellent high-temperature oxidation resistance and excellent creep resistance, TiAl alloys have become new and highly promising high-temperature structural materials in the aerospace field. However, the intrinsic room-temperature brittleness and relatively low high-temperature strength of TiAl alloys limit their large-scale industrial application. Composite material technology is an effective method for solving the above problems. This paper mainly summarizes the common configurations, preparation methods, microstructure characteristics and mechanical properties of TiAl matrix composites, reviews the research progress at home and abroad in recent years, and looks forward to future development directions to provide a useful reference for promoting the research and application of TiAl matrix composites.
