Abstract：The present situation and development of synthetic cast iron production in China and its main raw materials scrap steel and carburizer were discussed. The resources, classification, supply channels, existing problems and requirements of cast iron smelted by induction furnace for scrap steel in China were discussed. The types of carburizer used in casting, the application of carburizer and the melting process of synthetic cast iron were discussed.
