Research Status and Development of Die Casting Process on Quality of Die Castings

Abstract：After a century and a half of development, die-casting technology has become one of the important branches of the foundry industry. Although die-casting has many advantages of high production efficiency, the defects of die-casting such as porosity, shrinkage and crack have not been well solved. Die-casting technology is a process of organic combination and comprehensive application of three elements, such as die-casting machine, die-casting alloy and die-casting mold, which has an important influence on the production of die-casting. Based on references research, the relationship between die-casting process parameters, production efficiency, casting quality and mold quality in die-casting production is discussed, and the future development direction and problems faced of die-casting in China industry is analyzed.
