Abstract:The similarities and differences of evaluation results of coke thermal properties by different methods were compared, and the important factors to be considered in the determination of coke thermal properties were discussed. The results show that there is not necessarily a strict negative correlation between the index of coke post-reaction strength and the index of coke reactivity when the test method of coke thermal performance is changed. The test results of different methods show that there is a positive correlation between the reactivity indexes and a poor correlation between the post-reaction intensity. The melting loss process and reaction temperature have an important influence on the thermal properties of coke. The melting loss degree of 25%and the non-isothermal conditions have a stronger simulation for the melting loss behavior of coke in blast furnace. The process of dissolution loss and reaction temperature are two important factors to be taken into account when developing the evaluation method of coke thermal performance.
